The massages delivered by our specially trained in the field of oncology massage therapists certified by the Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes provide many benefits, including stress and pain reduction, better sleep and a greater sense of well-being.

Thanks to our partnership with the Fondation de la massothérapie, the Quebec Cancer Foundation offers massage therapy sessions at only $25 for 60 minutes to all persons in treatment for cancer.

These massages let me relax completely, decrease anxiety and bring me back to the present moment. They have an immense effect on the healing process. » Marcel, brain cancer.

For whom?

For persons being treated for cancer and who wish:
  • To relax and reclaim their body
  • To relieve pain
  • To forget for a moment about cancer

Our massage therapists

Certified by the Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes, our massage therapists have special training in massage in the field of oncology. Compassionate, respectful and ready to listen, these professionals can adapt to the physical condition of the patient in order to bring relaxation which will enable the person to devote more energy to getting well.

The benefits

Due to its effects, both physiological and psychological, massage therapy can help reduce several of the symptoms brought on by cancer and its treatments, such as: nausea, pain, fatigue, anxiety, stress and depression. It can also increase the feeling of relaxation, sleep quality and the reaction of the immune system, at the same time bringing significant improvement to the mood of patients.

Chair massage during chemotherapy

The Quebec Cancer Foundation offers in-chair massages about 20 minutes in length, while the cancer patient is receiving chemotherapy treatments in hospital.
