I want to go beyond my limits

My name is Caroline Couture and I am taking part in the Compostelle en tandem challenge to raise funds for the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Since the year 2000, the year I had Hodgkin's disease, I have become involved in several good causes in connection with cancer. This year, I wanted a new challenge, which would enable me to go beyond my limits and discover something new.

I firmly intend to cover the 200 km of the Compostelle en tandem challenge. To do that, I have to walk one hour each evening and more on the weekends. With the job I have, it is not always easy to find time to train, but with a bit of discipline, I manage to reach my goals. Being coached by a kinesiologist from the Foundation helps me to make progress. The program she gave me is simple to follow, since the exercises proposed do not require equipment. I think all of us should make physical exercise a part of our daily lives. My preparation for the Compostelle en tandem challenge lets me reconnect with a training plan and I hope to maintain this habit for the rest of my life.

It is good to live life to the fullest and enjoy the process despite our trials; therefore, I am happy to participate for this first year in Compostelle en tandem.
