The Quebec Cancer Foundation has entered into a new partnership, this time with the Association à Fleur d'espoir, with the objective of optimizing the support offered to people affected by cancer.
This service partnership is a collaboration designed to maximize the benefits of actions carried out for the well-being of people affected by cancer in Quebec.
Specifically, the Quebec Cancer Foundation will be partially funding yoga sessions for people affected by cancer in Chibougamau. The first session, incidentally, took place on October 21 and was greatly appreciated by the participants!
The Quebec Cancer Foundation and the Association à Fleur d'espoir share common visions: contributing to the physical and psychological well-being of people with cancer and provid them with essential support, especially through complementary therapies.
"Partnerships are a major focus of the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Being stronger against cancer requires offering better services to complement those that are already offered throughout the healthcare system. Building on the success of our recent partnerships, including with l’Association du cancer de l’Est du Québec, la Fondation Maxime-Letendre, Virage Foundation and the CROIRE Foundation, we are proud to continue building new partnerships in order to increase our collective impact, especially in areas where we do not have a presence. We are delighted to have reached this new agreement with the Association à Fleur d’Espoir,” says Quebec Cancer Foundation CEO Marco Décelles.
"This partnership allows us to offer new activities for people affected by cancer and improve their quality of life. That is the essence of our mission," says Amelie Caron, who works for the Association à Fleur d’Espoir. "Our members are excited to be able to participate in these sessions free of charge here in Chibougamau. France Nadeau, our yoga instructor, is striving to help and support each person based on their individual needs."
By joining forces with partners such as the Association à Fleur d'espoir, the Quebec Cancer Foundation can extend its services and be present in even more regions where people facing cancer are located. TO BE CLOSER TO THE PEOPLE, again and again, that is the Foundation’s motto.
