The Quebec Cancer Foundation would like to mark this special day by thanking all those who extend us their invaluable support. Your involvement is a source of courage and hope that makes it possible for Quebecers to live better with cancer. Thank you so much!

The Foundation is pleased to recall that every day for almost 40 years it has worked with people living with cancer, offering them the support and comfort your generosity makes possible.

Our spokesperson Bruno Pelletier would also like to take this opportunity to say "Thank you" to each of you (french only).

On February 4 each year, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) coordinates an international awareness campaign on the theme of cancer. From 2016 to 2018, the campaign slogan has been "We can - I can."

The aim of the campaign is to show how communities and individuals can help alleviate the burden of cancer. The 2018 edition is focuses particularly on highlighting the importance of physical activity, encouraging everyone to exercise. People affected by cancer have every reason to take up a sport or physical activity to strengthen their bodies and minds to help them better cope with the side effects of treatment.

Today, cancer is still one of the leading cause of death worldwide. It is treatable, however, and our major focus on this Day is on increasing awareness of the special needs of those vulnerable individuals dealing with cancer, both the patients themselves and those closest to them. One out of two Quebecers will have to face cancer and we are there to support them. Thank you for your support.
