Michel L. Lesage, President of the Board of Directors at the Quebec Cancer Foundation, is pleased and proud to announce the appointment of six new directors.
These new members will be participating actively in the development of the Foundation, most importantly through their complementary expertise and their networks.
The Foundation will also be able to count on their skills and humanity as well as the unfailing generosity they demonstrate every day in helping the Foundation achieve its mission.
Catherine Frémont
Manager, Corporate Services
A lawyer and graduate of England's Oxford University, Catherine began her career as a lawyer with McCarthy Tétrault. Her professional path then led her to the position of Political Advisor with the Government of Quebec. She is currently Director, Corporate Services at CN. Her leadership, rigour and curiosity will be valuable assets for the Quebec Cancer Foundation.

Geneviève Giguère
Vice President, Supply Chain and Launch Management
Sandoz Canada
Geneviève has extensive experience in consulting services, more specifically in the healthcare sector, having worked at Deloitte Consulting for six years. She then made the transition to the industrial sector and was in charge of strategy at Sandoz Canada. In her role there she led the company's strategic projects and was responsible for business planning. Today, she is Vice President, Supply Chain and Launch Management at Sandoz, where she utilizes to advantage the agility, influence and stakeholder management skills that are second nature to her. Her competency, values and commitment will lend vital support to the Quebec Cancer Foundation team at the strategic, operational and financial levels.

Patrick Kenniff
Kenniff Leadership Inc.
Patrick has over 20 years' experience in executive recruitment. In 2003, he co-founded Kenniff & Racine, which in 2018, became Kenniff Leadership. A lawyer by training, he has previously held the positions of Deputy Minister of Municipal Affairs for the Government of Quebec and Rector and Vice-Chancellor of Concordia University. His experience in the public and private sectors, as well as in managing organizations and building management teams, gives him a definite advantage in his field of expertise. He has recruited numerous senior executives in sectors as varied as technology, manufacturing, universities and colleges, and cultural and community organizations. His leadership and sound knowledge of the community make him eminently suited to address the new challenges facing the Foundation.

Bernard Lachapelle

Bernard is President of the JBL Group, one of Canada's leading health policy, pricing and reimbursement consulting firms, which he founded in 2000. An expert in health policy and market access, his advice is sought by industry leaders and public policy makers in Canada and abroad. Prior to founding JBL, he held senior management positions with international pharmaceutical companies, gaining extensive experience in government relations, market access, health policy development and corporate communications.

Teresa Pacheco
Chartered Professional Accountant

Teresa has been active on numerous executive boards since 1997 and is committed to collaboration and rigour. Her focus is always on work well done and innovation that benefits people and organizations. She has a comprehensive approach to situations that takes into account the varied aspects of human behaviour. In addition, her professional experience with companies such as Ernst & Young, the Société des Alcools du Québec and Hydro-Québec has enabled her to develop her skills in implementing new practices for promoting efficiency. With her reputation for team spirit and efficiency, the Foundation is confident that her expertise will contribute to sound financial management and bringing projects to completion.
Julie Plouffe
Chief Financial Officer
White Star Capital
A graduate of HEC Montréal, Julie has more than 15 years’ experience in financial management, primarily in the banking sector with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and the White Star Capital venture capital investment fund. Her professional background has enabled her to develop skills in risk management, process improvement, venture capital and financial planning. Her professionalism, analytical skills and ability to adapt will undoubtedly be assets for the Foundation.
