The Quebec Cancer Foundation and CROIRE are pleased to announce their partnership aimed at optimizing the support offered to people with cancer and maximizing the benefits for them.

Among the benefits resulting from this partnership are two very concrete initiatives:
  • Offering chair massage therapy sessions for people with cancer during their chemotherapy treatments at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital and the Santa Cabrini Hospital.
  • Offering art therapy sessions for people who face cancer at the Est-de-l’Île-de-Montréal CIUSSS.
The Quebec Cancer Foundation and CROIRE share a mutual concern for the physical and psychological well-being of patients. They are joining forces to provide essential emotional support and methods designed to complement medical treatments.

"We are delighted that we can count on this partnership that allows us to be even closer to our people. This year, 55,600 Quebecers will have their lives turned upside down by a diagnosis. But thanks to this new partnership and the many others already in place, the Quebec Cancer Foundation will be able to accompany and support more people, whenever and wherever they need it." says Marco Décelles, CEO of the Foundation. "By being attentive to the needs of people on the ground. By innovating with new services. By diversifying opportunities and meeting places that facilitate access to services. By offering personalized support based on each person’s story. In this way, we will continue to be the allies of the medical staff in establishing conditions favorable to the successful treatment of their patients."

This partnership will permit both organizations to consolidate their teams by sharing expertise and tools and provide patients with easier access to the programs and services offered by both entities.

"In addition to increasing the number of those we can assist, this partnership will enrich our service offering by creating new programs dedicated to people who face cancer." says Mado Desforges, a patient resource development coordinator who organizes CROIRE activities. "It is totally in line with our vision of offering activities that complement traditional medical treatments that permit men and women to live better with their new reality."
