Scène Momentum is proud to announce that $2 from every ticket sold for the parterre at the concert Gerry – 30 ans de Rendez-vous doux at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco on September 22, will be donated to the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Because the show sold out so quickly, the grassy plaza has been opened up to accommodate even more fans.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Gerry Boulet’s hit album Rendez-vous doux. As a tribute to his father and to this legendary album, his son Justin has proposed a very special show. Justin Boulet will be welcoming on stage five guest artists: Breen Leboeuf, Boom Desjardins, Marjo, and Roxane Bruneau as well as Mario Saint-Amand (Gerry, Le film).
The show will offer the public a new interpretation of the entire Rendez-vous doux album and Offenbach’s greatest hits. In addition, Justin will be delivering a few anecdotes about Gerry, in a voice reminiscent of his father’s.
You will recall that on July 18, 1990 Gerry Boulet succumbed to colon cancer, which he had been struggling against for 3 years.
All proceeds will go toward allowing the Quebec Cancer Foundation to continue to provide daily support to thousands of Quebecers with cancer and their loved ones all across the province through its physical wellness and psychological support programs and its lodging centers, as it has done for nearly 40 years.
