On December 16, the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s Regional Centre will move to its new premises on avenue de Vitré, just a few steps away from the Hôpital Enfant-Jésus.

Last June, we reaffirmed our commitment to providing greater accessibility to our services in our strategic plan, Being Closer to People. By moving into these new premises, which are much more spacious and located just a few steps away from the future Integrated Cancer Centre, the Foundation is keeping its promise of being closer to people. says France Locas, Director of the Quebec City Regional Centre and InfoCancer Services.

Next spring, the Quebec Cancer Foundation plans to open a new lodge as part of the Quebec City Regional Centre. The hostel on Vitré Avenue is designed to accommodate Quebecers affected by cancer who live in remote areas and have oncology treatments scheduled at the Quebec City CHU.

This new hostel is designed above all to simplify the lives of people affected by cancer and their loved ones. Despite the distance that separates them from their homes, the Quebec Cancer Foundation wants to offer them a warm second home so that they can focus on healing, rather than on the logistics related to the disease and treatment. explained Marco Décelles, Director General of the Quebec Cancer Foundation.

In addition, as of January 25, 2021, beneficiaries will be able to take advantage of the various services offered by the Quebec Cancer Foundation, which include massage therapy, kinesiology, art therapy, hair prosthesis loan services, etc.
