Learning that a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, which can evoke feelings of sadness, anger or helplessness, inevitably changes one’s life in unimaginable ways. Coming to terms with the diagnosis, finding the right words and figuring out the best way to help is difficult to say the least.

At the Quebec Cancer Foundation, we firmly believe in the positive and therapeutic effect of art on one’s physical health and well-being. This is why we now offer art therapy sessions not only to people facing cancer but also to their loved one, who often desperately need support, resources and tools to find their way through these difficult times.

Our art therapy program allows loved ones to express their feelings, to live in the moment while enjoying a brief respite, to hope and to clear their minds of disease and anguish by immersing themselves in the creative process.

Beginning December 3, we invite you to join us from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 every Friday, for an art therapy session where you can let your creative juices flow while exchanging with others who are in situations similar to yours. No art experience required
