The Quebec Cancer Foundation, in collaboration with Club Piscine Super Fitness of Trois-Rivières, is proud to present the first edition of Cancer espoir. This fundraising activity kicks off at 8 pm, on September 10 in Île Saint-Quentin Park with a dragon boat race.

Serge Turmel and Alain Bernard of Club Piscine Super Fitness have accepted the honorary presidency of this activity for the benefit of the Quebec Cancer Foundation’s annual Grand défoulement.

The price of renting a 22-man boat is $1000, or $50 per paddler. We invite dragon boat enthusiasts, novices and businesses in the region to participate in large numbers by booking one seat or a boat full.

The Foundation will use the money raised to support everyday people with cancer and their families by providing services tailored to specific needs and facilitate access to oncology treatment. It also offers listening, answers and comfort free of charge.

Quebec Cancer Foundation’s Grand défoulement

Throughout the year, the Quebec Cancer Foundation encourages the entire population of Quebec to “se défouler”: to let off steam and give expression their feelings by organizing or participating in an event or by making a donation. No time? No ideas? No problem! You can make a donation or take part in an existing Grand défoulement event: you’re sure to find one taking place in your neighbourhood! For further information about Cancer espoir, contact: André Beauchesne at the Quebec Cancer Foundation abeauchesne@fqc.qc.ca or Club Piscine Super Fitness at 819-375-7771.

Please note that the event will take place rain or shine.
