On December 5, over 200 people gathered at Hyatt Regency Montreal’s Grand Salon Opera for Cancerto, a musical evening highlighting the theme “A unique experience of emotion and celebration.” The event, which featured a cocktail reception, a silent auction, and a Christmas show starring the Foundation’s spokesperson, Bruno Pelletier, raised more than $109,500.

The success of the evening was due largely to the precious support of its ambassadors, who generously contributed so much of their time and effort. Equally to be thanked are the Foundation’s Board members, and of course, the spokesperson for the cause, Bruno Pelletier, who received a tribute in appreciation of his constant dedication over the past 5 years.

Testimony of a young mother

On the occasion of this soirée in recognition of the courage and resilience of people facing cancer, July Ash, a former recipient of the Foundation's services, testified: "My three sons and I were extraordinarily lucky on our challenging journey when we crossed paths with the Quebec Cancer Foundation. I am here to announce how great a difference you can make, simply by your presence this evening, in the lives of people like me who are dealing with cancer. I sorely needed that support every day. I can’t possibly thank the Foundation’s donors and partners enough."
