Hundreds of adventurers who wanted to get back to basics!

Each year, the Quebec Cancer Foundation offers travel adventures that promise unforgettable moments for passionate walkers and philanthropists.
This summer, as hundreds of Quebecers have done since 2010, new groups of walkers will traverse the paths of the caminho portugês,  the shores of the Magdalen Islands or the roads along the Chemin des Sanctuaires in support of the Quebec Cancer Foundation.
So many stories, breathtaking landscapes and memorable encounters to experience along these paths every year.

Whether they want to test their limits, honour a loved one who has faced the disease or one who is currently doing so, they all profoundly endorse the Foundation’s mission and its determination to improve the quality of life of people affected by cancer.
These journeys represent a high point in the lives of many of the participants: a page turned, a challenge, or a tribute. That's why they need your support.
Two of these are Liette Duplain and Edith Dupuis, sisters-in-law who have both faced cancer and will be participating in the upcoming Compostelle en tandem.

“Both our lives changed—first in 2013 and then in 2017— when we were diagnosed with breast cancer. You can imagine what a terrible shock that was for us and our loved ones. We quickly had to master a new medical vocabulary. We underwent radiation therapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Fortunately, we were supported by a great team of doctors and resources, including the Quebec Cancer Foundation. And in the words of the song by Marie-Pierre Arthur: there’s nothing to do but get back up.

And actually, for us, everything is going well: one of us is in full recovery and the other has been in remission for a year. Taking part in the Compostelle en tandem with the Foundation will allow us to complete the picture. The walk will provide a much-needed pause to allow us to fully appreciate this second chance at life we have been given.

That’s why we’re appealing to your generosity. When we signed up for the Compostelle en tandem, we each undertook to raise to $2000 for the Foundation. Thank you in advance for your support! We love you.”
