Your arrival at the Gatineau Lodge is expected from 2 p.m. onwards. A receptionist will be responsible to give you a tour of the facilities and ensure that you get settled in.

We will proceed with registration at the end of the day between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.

The day of your departure, you must leave your room by 11:00 a.m. after making your final payment.
You can reserve your place at the Gatineau Lodge as soon as you have the official date for your first treatment or your tests, along with the number of treatments.

To reserve, you need only to phone us at 819 561-2262. If possible, have in hand your hospital card, your health insurance card (RAMQ), a pencil and some paper.
The Gatineau Lodge offers 24 parking spaces, which are made available free of charge to residents. A parking vignette to hang from your rear view mirror will be given you on arrival.
An allowance for meals is included in the cost of a night’s stay for persons who have cancer and their companion. On your arrival, you will receive meal coupons valid in the cafeteria of the Gatineau Hospital. The value of these coupons usually covers meal costs. However, depending on your menu choices, you may have extra charges.

Tired of eating out? Our common kitchen allows you to prepare your meals, just like at home. Food cupboards and refrigerators are available to you to store your food.

Community suppers

Once a month, we offer you a community dinner prepared by warm-hearted volunteers. You can share a three-course meal with the other residents and enjoy time spent with them.
The Gatineau Lodge offers you various activities to help you relax or spend time socializing with other residents. We propose to you, among others, our three types of complementary therapy, all offered by professionals who adapt their practice to persons with cancer. Furthermore, each week our dedicated volunteers organize activities and outings for a refreshing change in good company.

The Gatineau Lodge allows you to stay near your place of treatment at a very affordable price. The rate for one night varies according to your status.

Please note that the Gatineau Lodge does not accept payment when covered by insurance, organizations or others. You must personally pay the cost of your stay before departure.
