You can reserve your place at the Sherbrooke Lodge as soon as you have the official date for your first treatment or your tests, along with the number of treatments.

To reserve, you need only to phone us at 819 822-2125. If possible, have in hand your hospital card, your health insurance card (RAMQ), a pencil and some paper.
For your stay we propose that you bring along:
  • Body soap
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Paper tissues
  • Clock radio
  • Pillow (ours are slightly plasticized)
  • Umbrella
  • Snacks and breuvages
  • Medications
Several stores are located near the Lodge, such as convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants. In addition, you have easy access to several bus lines to facilitate your travel around the city.

Staying at the Estrie Lodge means also taking advantage of the city’s most beautiful features:

An allowance for meals is included in the cost of a night’s stay for persons who have cancer and their companion. On your arrival, you will receive meal coupons valid in the cafeteria of the CHUS - Fleurimont Hospital. The value of these coupons usually covers meal costs. However, depending on your menu choices, you may have extra charges.

Breakfast: from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Dinner: from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Supper: from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Bring your own meals

Tired of eating at the cafeteria? Our common kitchen allows you to bring your own meals and reheat them here. Food cupboards and refrigerators are available to you to store your food.
The receptionist will take care of your admission and let you to visit the premises at the following times:
  • Weekdays: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sundays and holidays: closed
The day you check out, you must leave your room by 11 a.m. after making your final payment.
The Sherbrooke Lodge offers you various activities to help you relax or spend time socializing with other residents. We propose to you, among others, our three types of complementary therapy, all offered by professionals who adapt their practice to persons with cancer. Furthermore, each week our dedicated volunteers organize activities and outings for a refreshing change in good company.
The Estrie Lodge has five parking spaces nearby which are reserved for residents. These spaces are available at a rate of $5 per day.

On arrival, and according to availability, you may use these once you have paid at accounting. If a parking place is available, the receptionist will give you a vignette to hang from your rear view mirror. No space can be reserved.



The Sherbrooke Lodge has 16 double or single occupancy rooms (according to availability). Our comfortable rooms offer you:
  • Two single beds with pillow and bedding
  • Bathroom with bath-shower, wash basin, toilet, towels and toilet tissue
  • Chest of drawers with mirror
  • Air conditioning
  • Telephone for local calls and free Internet access
Please note there is no television in the rooms.

The Sherbrooke Lodge allows you to stay near your place of treatment at a very affordable price. The rate for one night varies according to your status. 
Double occupancy. For persons being treated for cancer, whether it is in the period of investigation, treatment or during follow-up visits.

Single occupancy. For persons being treated for cancer and holding a medical form signed by the family doctor.

Double occupancy. For a person accompanying someone being treated for cancer.

Double occupancy. For someone visiting a person hospitalized for a cancer. Also for persons being treated for medical issues other than cancer. Rate also in effect for other clienteles than the one affected by cancer.
Single occupancy, according to availability. For persons being treated for cancer and holding the medical form of the Foundation signed by the family doctor.
Persons from the same family: spouse or parent-child of a person hospitalized for cancer or for medical reasons other than cancer. The rate of $75 is valid for two people.
